In September & October 2015 DIG consultants traveled to Papua new Guinea and the Solomon Islands in direct support to the Political Parties Commission (PPC) of the Solomon Islands. The PPC was established in 2014 after the passage of the Political Party Integrity Act. DIG conducted a needs assessment of the PPC and the 13 registered political parties in the country, in order to identify a plan to build the capacity of both groups in the coming years. A full report, with recommendations, was submitted to the PPC by the end of October.
